Pottery wheeling

Earlier this year, I embarked on another level of clay fun. I took a wheel class to through Jefferson Community Center to learn to “throw pottery”. I love that the instructor–the ever-so talented Molly Hueffd–calls the class “Clay for the Soul” as my soul so needed to play with clay this last year.

These are the final batch of goodies that I made during my summer class; they are still in the greenware stage here (meaning they have not been fired in the kiln yet). I hear they are ready for me to pick up and I can’t wait to see what these look like when they have been glazed and fired.

Too bad I will have to wait until next month to see them.
The waiting will kill me!
